To celebrate David Bennett’s 40 years as Steward and Chef at Prestwick Golf Club, he has written a cook book, 40 Courses for 40 Years, outlining some of the dishes that are much loved by members, guests and visitors, from his famous Surf and Moor to Beef Olives and Lobster Thermidor. Wonderfully illustrated, there are chapters outlining the history of dining at Prestwick Golf Club since it was formed in 1851. All proceeds from this very special recipe book will be donated to Beatson Cancer Charity and The Ayrshire Hospice, both charities that have special meaning for David.

Wonderfully written and comprising both outstanding recipes from the best traditions of the PGC kitchen and also some great anecdotes and stories about the Club and its history. The real test will be trying to recreate these anywhere close to the skill and precision of David himself.
First class production. It captures the essence of dining at Prestwick and has even got me started preparing meals for the family!
